That is Jeanne Goussev, 2nd from the left, captain of the eight-women team that won the Race to Alaska on June 25, 2018, finishing first among 43 competing sailboats. We all know Jeanne as Managing Director of Fiduciary Services here at LNWM, leading a team that excels at trust and estate planning for clients and their families. Says Jeanne of this major win by her “Sail Like a Girl” team, average age 41:
”We hope we can inspire others to tackle something that they are afraid of, that challenges them, and to meet the inner warrior that they do not get to spend time with every day. For me, this was the greatest gift that this epic journey presented. This race was always about something more than winning.”
That is the attitude that Jeanne brings with her every day. She inspires her team at LNWM to do whatever it takes to make sure our clients’ wishes are carried out, not just once but consistently, and especially during times of turmoil and distress.
Jeanne and her sailing team (“Sail Like a Girl”) are donating their first prize ($10,000) net of expenses to the Pink Boat Regatta to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
