It has been a surprising year for real estate, with some sectors holding up phenomenally well while others struggle, as Covid-19 winds its way through our economy. The chart below, initially presented at a client webinar on real estate hosted by real estate advisory firm Heartland LLC, shows the uneven fortunes of the various types of investment real estate as of 3rd quarter of 2020, as well as forecasts for what could happen in the next several years.
