Carla Wigen

Managing Director of Fiduciary Strategy

Carla’s work is all about the future: how you can use your wealth to do what is best for you, your family and your community. Specifically, Carla is an expert at the tools you can use to implement your intent, including trusts. A trust can be the ultimate wealth-planning tool, says Carla, in terms of control, privacy, tax-efficiency and expediency. But she also notes that trusts are only as effective as their construction and the people managing them.

Carla is also responsible for envisioning the future of LNWM’s trust services. Specifically, she develops strategies to expand LNWM’s fiduciary operations and helps to evolve our services to meet the changing needs of clients.

An attorney and CPA, Carla has worked in trust and estate planning for nearly two decades. What makes LNWM stand out, she says, is the deep level of care that our fiduciary team applies to overseeing each trust, so it performs as intended. We work hard to understand what each client wants to accomplish, notes Carla, and we use that understanding to guide our interactions with beneficiaries and every decision about managing the assets in the trust.

Carla believes it’s this deep level of care that has allowed LNWM to thrive as a trust company over many generations. And it’s what makes her excited to be charged with expanding LNWM’s trust business to serve more clients.
