Lauren P. Martin
Director, Client Services
Having joined LNWM in 2022 after nearly 20 years in wealth management, Lauren finds LNWM “a breath of fresh air” for at least two reasons: (1) “all the genuine collaboration and team-based approach” – colleagues with expertise in different fields constantly sharing insights on what will work best for each client; (2) “a daily focus on doing what is best for clients but also for LNWM employees and the communities we live and work in.”
A world traveler who now loves to spend time with her young family, especially at Philadelphia 76ers games, Lauren’s focus at work has long been families and family foundations: helping them align their assets with their values, through philanthropy, impact investing, and educating younger generations.
As advisors, Lauren points out, we can’t teach values to kids but we can help families articulate and pass on those values. Part of that is facilitating family meetings to open up important conversations and following through on what is discussed. What the pandemic taught everyone, says Lauren, is the importance of relationships and working with people who share your values. That applies to family life, work life, and also to the people you seek out as wealth advisors.
