CEO Kristen Bauer Named Women of Influence Honoree

Congratulations to Kristen Bauer, the CEO of LNWM and our sister company Wetherby Asset Management, for being named to the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “2022 Women of Influence” list. The PSBJ’s recognition of Kristen for this highly selective honor – one that’s awarded to women who exhibit outstanding leadership within their organizations and their communities – is a testament to two years like no other.

There’s no doubt that Kristen’s leadership came at a critical time. Named CEO in the spring of 2020 at the beginning of a global pandemic, Kristen got straight to work building relationships with colleagues working from home and reassuring client families in the face of turbulent financial markets and an uncertain economy. Through it all, she led the firm through two subsequent mergers, expanding its footprint into California and New York, more than doubling its assets, and most importantly, welcoming world class professionals to LNWM as it nearly doubled the size of its team.

Kristen’s central focus has always been to create shared value and impact. In her two and half years at LNWM, she has been doing just that: Co-creating a firm for the future with new colleagues across the country; advancing LNWM’s ambitions to become a leader in impact investing and philanthropic advising by building on established strengths in wealth planning, investment management and trust services; and strengthening our commitment to the communities in which we operate.

According to Lisa Brummel, LNWM’s Board President: “Since becoming CEO at Laird Norton Wealth Management, Kristen has helped our organization grow and thrive. Her leadership through the uncertainty of the pandemic, the opportunity for growth with Filament and Weatherby, and the ever-changing financial markets has been second to none. I am proud to have Kristen as our leader and excited that she will continue the legacy of leadership created by our firm.”

Kristen will be recognized, along with the rest of this year’s Women of Influence, at an awards dinner on November 10 and featured in a special issue of the Puget Sound Business Journal on November 11. Until then, please join us in celebrating Kristen and all of this year’s honorees for the amazing work they do.
