It was a nice surprise this morning to come in to work and see this photo of KEXP DJ John Richards in a New York Times article that’s mostly about the success of KEXP, including their new HQ at Seattle Center.

What was once little old KEXP​ is now a global phenom, radiating out of Seattle, along with Starbucks, Amazon, Microsoft and a bunch of other startups that are leaving their mark on the world. So it’s pretty impressive that KEXPers remain a bunch of down-to-earth people who love music, Seattle, and keeping radio from getting stale. That’s what we found out working with John Richards and KEXP on Pianos in the Parks the past two summers.
