Laird Norton Wealth Management, Bainbridge Island Museum of Art Plan to Curate Enhanced Community Engagement
SEATTLE – May 22, 2017 – Laird Norton Wealth Management and Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) are planning to elevate their existing partnership with new programs that will enhance BIMA’s growing reputation as a premiere venue for arts, events and experiences.
“In the short time since it opened, BIMA has established itself as a true convener of cultural engagement and conversations,” said Erin Moyer, Managing Director of Marketing and Communications at Laird Norton Wealth Management. “Our two organizations have a longstanding relationship, and we’re excited to continue supporting the arts on Bainbridge Island and exploring new programs that we can create together.”
Support from Laird Norton Wealth Management will continue to aid BIMA’s art and event programming. In addition, the two organizations are planning a series of forums, to be held at BIMA’s Buxton Auditorium, they hope will enhance BIMA’s cultural contributions to the Bainbridge Island community. Preliminary ideas include discussions on nurturing your passions and artistic spirit, an art and antiques road show coupled with discussions on art appraising and collecting, and guiding philanthropic decisions.
“At BIMA, we’re committed to creating a community rich with experiences and a wealth of opportunities to explore art and life at every level,” said Sheila Hughes, BIMA Executive Director. “Laird Norton Wealth Management stands out in the Puget Sound region as a financial planning firm that understands wealth is more than money, and that’s the type of organization we’re proud to have as a partner.”
Laird Norton Wealth Management is one of the Puget Sound region’s leading corporate philanthropists, with financial support going to organizations committed to strengthening the area’s cultural, environmental and educational fabric. The enhanced partnership with BIMA comes as Laird Norton Wealth Management celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2017 with increased attention on collaborations that create stronger communities and finding more ways to help the people of the Pacific Northwest thrive.
“At Laird Norton Wealth Management, we support organizations that take the extra step to create community, because we’ve always believed that people prosper when communities prosper,” continued Moyer. “Our partnership with BIMA fits our vision, and we’re committed to making it as powerful and impactful as it can be.”
