The Media Bees are Buzzing Around the King County Parks Foundation
When we hosted the official launch of the King County Parks Foundation in our lobby Tuesday, it was absolutely packed. Amongst the many attendees were several reporters, photographers and camera crews that captured the celebration of both King County Parks’ 75th Anniversary and our role in establishing its new foundation. Later that day, there were multiple broadcasts on Komo 4 News and Kiro 7 Eyewitness News, as well as local radio and print stories.
Even more thrilling was the reception of $850 in donations to the Foundation in just the first hour after Dow Constantine made the announcement. We look forward to hearing more buzz in the media about the King County Parks Foundation and the donations it will most certainly help pollinate in the months ahead. If you haven’t yet, you will soon see the Foundation’s logo on the sides of King County buses, posters and bookmarks in King County libraries, and at King County Parks events.
We’ll keep you posted on the progress made on the Foundation’s goal of $750,000 and let you know about different ways you can get involved.
