Headlines discussed at LNWM’s Monday morning briefing:

President Biden pledged the US will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% (from 2005 levels) within 10 years.

Just over 1 million new US homes were bought in March 2021, the highest monthly level since August 2006, with housing-related bottlenecks worsening.

Lumber prices are up 130% since in past 12 months, adding an average of $24,000 to the price of a new home.

The US job market continues to strengthen, with the potential to add 1 million new jobs in April; 17 million people are on some type of unemployment.
